Services for Business Clients
-
The price for business users is £50 per hour, with a minimum charge of
1
hour. For
jobs that exceed an hour the charge is £12.50 per additional quarter of
an hour. I am not VAT-registered so no VAT is charged.
I offer non contract-based support to your business, which means that you only incur charges when you call me in, and you are under no obligation to use me. I recommend the following:
An agreed number of visits per year (typically 3) in order to ensure that your PCs are performing well, are virus free and are not beginning to develop any faults. The intention of these visits is to try and prevent major problems developing, and not being visible until they actually cause a failure, with the disruption to your business that would result
Alongside that I provide adhoc support whenever you request it, charged at my hourly rate, invoiced at the end of each month. That way you won’t incur any charges each month if you don’t have any problems.
I can provide telephone support as required, and with your agreement can also set up remote support systems to allow me to access your Server and/or client PCs from my office.
When I first visit a new business I recommend that I carry out an IT survey which records all known information regarding your PCs, any Server and network setup. This survey is recorded in a document that you also keep a copy of, and which forms the basis of my IT support to you. Obviously this survey document can also be used by you in the event that you ever make use of any other IT support company, so reducing the risks and costs to your business.
Many business services are the same as those offered to home users, so please refer to my Home User page for an overview of those services. However there are also some services specific to business.
I cover support to both client PCs and any Servers used, which includes Server-specific anti-virus and backup systems.
Backup systems also include identifying and putting into place contingency plans to keep your business up and running if the worst should ever happen.
